His Excellency Pietro Lazzeri visited the Mercy Ships hospital ship, anchored in the port of Conakry for 10 months. He went to meet the Swiss volunteers on board, as well as the Cameroonian patients.
Lausanne, 08.02.2018 – Pietro Lazzeri, Swiss Ambassador to the Republic of Cameroon, the Republic of Equatorial Guinea and the Central African Republic, visited the Africa Mercy last Friday, February 2.

He was welcomed on board by some of the Swiss volunteers currently on board, as well as Warrie Blackburn (photo below), Executive Director of the Mercy Ships hospital ship.
In addition to the time spent with the Swiss crew, he was able to see the various places essential to the proper functioning of the hospital ship: the hospital and intensive care rooms, the ship’s command deck, the crew’s dining room, the cafeteria and the living areas.
