Hope In Action

Our team has delivered rice, roofing sheets, and ready-to-eat meals to the official Disaster Response Coordination Body for distribution. These materials will help families and community institutions begin essential repairs and ensure that food assistance reaches those in greatest need.

“In moments like these, partnerships and solidarity matter most,” says Nicholas Ahadjie, Country Director of Mercy Ships in Madagascar. “We are committed to supporting the national response and ensuring that assistance reaches communities where the needs are greatest.”

Africa Mercy Soon to Return to Madagascar

Although the Africa Mercy® is currently undergoing scheduled maintenance in South Africa, preparations are underway for her return to Madagascar this May — when she will once again provide free surgical services and medical training in partnership with the Ministry of Health. Mercy Ships remains steadfast in its commitment to the people of Madagascar — standing with them in this time of recovery and continuing the shared mission to strengthen healthcare and restore hope.
