Interferry celebrates 50 years. Together, let's transform 50 lives. 50 Surgeries. Only $500 to completely change a life.

50 SURGERIES · ONE GLOBAL COMMUNITY

50 years deserves a life-changing celebration

For half a century, Interferry has brought together people and organizations who understand the power of ships to connect communities around the world.

To celebrate this remarkable milestone, the Interferry community is coming together with Mercy Ships for a different kind of journey.

Our goal: help make 50 life-changing surgeries possible.

Your gift of  $ 500 can help change a life

For many people in the countries Mercy Ships serves, the surgery they need can be difficult or impossible to access.

A treatable condition can affect a child’s ability to go to school, a parent’s ability to work, or someone’s ability to participate fully in their community.

Your gift can help change that.

Mercy Ships brings free surgical care and healthcare training to African nations aboard the world’s two largest non-governmental hospital ships, the Global Mercy™ and Africa Mercy®.

Behind every surgery is a person. One surgery can mean…

has been limited by a treatable condition.

FAQ

What is the Interferry 50 for 50 campaign?

To celebrate Interferry’s 50th milestone, the Interferry community is coming together to raise funds with Mercy Ships, with the goal of helping fund 50 life-changing surgeries.

What will my donation support?

Your donation will support Mercy Ships’ work providing free surgical care and strengthening healthcare in partnership with African nations.

Who is Mercy Ships?

Mercy Ships is an international nonprofit that operates hospital ships providing free surgeries and healthcare services to people with limited access to safe surgical care. It also works with local healthcare professionals through education and training.

Why does Mercy Ships use hospital ships?

Hospital ships provide a platform where specialized medical teams, equipment and facilities can be brought to port cities while Mercy Ships works in partnership with host nations.

What happens if the campaign raises more than the amount needed for 50 surgeries?

This needs an approved fundraising/legal answer from Mercy Ships before launch. I would make this explicit rather than imply that every donated currency unit is restricted precisely to one of the 50 surgeries.
