Take a Tour of the World’s Largest Civilian Hospital Ship!

Are you ready to experience something special?

Imagine a floating hospital with one mission – to bring hope and healing through free surgery and training. A ship where hundreds of thousands of lives will be changed forever. Onboard, the blind will see. Children will walk on straight legs for the very first time. Patients will have life-threatening tumors removed.

It’s a one-of-a-kind operation on a historic hospital ship. The Global Mercy is getting ready for her first service in Africa. And you’re invited to come onboard and discover it all for yourself.

From February 26 to March 14, 2022, the Global Mercy will visit the Port of Rotterdam. This is your opportunity to experience the adventure with your own eyes — both in person and online. If you’re participating virtually, you’ll have a chance to hear stories straight from speakers from around the world and join in with online events in real time.

On March 4, 2022, a special day is organized for our Swiss donors. But opportunities to visit the ship will be offered to everyone.

Important communication

In our December newsletter, we indicated that registrations would be possible as early as December 15. However, due to the complicated health situation, we need more time before we can open registration.

We hope to be able to do so within the next week. Please come back to this page on December 24.

We would also like to draw your attention to the fact that we are cancelling the organized bus trip due to the uncertainties of Covid-19. All participants will have to make their own travel arrangements to Holland. There are several possibilities, such as car, long distance bus, train (nightjet via Zurich and Basel) or plane. For the latter three options, we strongly recommend that you choose tickets that are refundable in case of cancellation.

We thank you for your understanding and hope that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you on board.
