GivingTuesday, an opportunity to be generous

#GivingTuesday is the global day of generosity. This day is dedicated to giving and making a difference.

Mercy Ships is also participating and invites you to make a donation that will allow us to treat patients onboard our ships in 2023! Thanks to you, we will be able to treat many vulnerable people who are in dire need of surgery. You can read here the story of Houleye, a little girl that our volunteers operated on in Senegal.

Nearly 5 billion people do not have access to basic, life-changing surgical care. That’s why Mercy Ships has been providing medical care to the people who need it most for over 40 years.

Each year, some 2,000 surgeries and 8,000 dental treatments are performed free of charge on our hospital ships.

You too can help poor children get their lives back on track by making a donation.

Mercy in action

Since January 2022, our hospital ship, the Africa Mercy, has been mobilized in Senegal to treat hundreds of patients and train more than 780 local health professionals.

In 2023, our new ship, the Global Mercy, will begin service, doubling our impact – and doubling the hope we can offer in Africa!
