The Mercy Ships Switzerland team is delighted to invite you to our traditional open house on Saturday, July 8, 2023. Everyone is welcome! Feel free to come with your friends, colleagues and family!

This year marks the commissioning of our new ship, the Global Mercy, as well as the 45th anniversary of Mercy Ships.

This event will be run mainly in french, but translation into english will be provided on request.

The programme includes

Conferences – “Why Mercy Ships exists ?” and “Global Mercy: 1st mission successful”.
Interviews with a surgeon and other volunteers who have worked on board one of our ships.
Museum telling the story of Mercy Ships from the beginning to today.
“Get on board” – a space to find out all about volunteer work on board and how to get involved

Workshop to put yourself in the shoes of a patient

Games and drawing activities for children and parents

Virtual tour of the new ship, the Global Mercy

Discussion area on corporate partnerships

Sales stand: two young schoolgirls will be selling their handicrafts. They are keen to support a future patient’s surgery with the result of this sale. We salute this heartfelt initiative and hope that many will do it justice.

On the menu:

African meal – you’ll be able to buy an African speciality prepared by the Malewa caterer.

Ice cream stand – organic Paleta Loca ice creams will be on sale to refresh you.
